This beautifully spacious 7m diameter Mongolian style yurt was carefully crafted in Takaka, Golden Bay, NZ. Created from sustainably grown native NZ Beech, Cedar and Macrocarpa timbers, no chemical treatments were used in the building process. The top-quality waterproof poly-cotton canvas is breathable and fully insulated with wool to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter.
The Green Tent Matakana thoughtfully designed for your every need is also access friendly. There’s a luxurious King Size bed plus bunk beds hidden behind a screen. (Please note we're really set up for two adults, children are welcome but we're not baby or toddler proof). We have WiFi and a smart TV for your technology needs and air-conditioning to ensure blissfully comfortable summer evenings & cosy winter nights.
A generous covered deck links your locally crafted kitchen with a small fridge/freezer, microwave, hot plate, kettle, toaster and coffee machine plus your stylish bathroom. An outdoor bath, festoon lights and a campfire add the extra touches for an unforgettable escape.
